The Man Himself

Recycling Rechard (Rechard Crockett)

Hi! My name is Rechard Crockett aka Recycling Rechard and I have served my community for several years now. I can honestly say that serving and helping others is my life's mission. I served with SEE West Monroe Americorps from August 2012 to May 2014, being a part of the Synergy and Kid Tech programs, I can honestly say was the best job I've ever had to this date. While I was a member of Synergy, I helped organize community clean-up projects in lower income West Monroe areas. I also helped teach proper interviewing skills to GED students. While serving for Kid Tech I was a 5th grade mentor to the students of Riverbend Elementary. My daily duties ranged from doing Zumba dances with the students to tutoring them on their homework. Those kids have made a lasting impression on my life and helped shape me into who I am today. I am also currently the Sustainability Director and board member for One Green Society a local nonprofit that does community work in low-income areas, educates on current environmental issues as well as working with other nonprofits. Finally, I spend a few hours a week volunteering for the organization /nonprofit of Citizens Climate Lobby. I'm the current Alexandria Chapter Leader and educate citizens on climate change. We also meet with representatives of congress to discuss climate solutions. Being able to serve others has been my calling in this life and working for a better tomorrow in Central Louisiana.
